I was influenced by the Abstract Impressionist artist Helen Frankenthaler for working on unprimed canvases, a technique she named “soak stain”. I create surprising results by superimposing paint on a drawing already painted on the canvas, and letting the paint run freely by manipulating the canvas so that each colour blends the other colour.
